La Boheme ch.1.1 - 2 [I'm back. Yay...]

We've all been there.

So the ambitious, slow saga continues. I've come to realise how much I hate this piece of shit time swamp, but I can't bring myself to stop doing it.
There isn't much I like with this one, but I like little details like the crumbling of the cloth, and the three pictures on his wall, and while it could have been done better I like the double-exposure effect in the middle frame.
I don't like how empty it feels though, and I wanted his room to be properly clattered, the way uncertain teenage kid's rooms ought be, but I couldn't really figure out what to draw. In hindsight I really should have put in whatever piece of clutter came to mind, since it's a mess not really meant to be thought-out or meaningful, and without it I feel a lot of the feel of the scene is lost. Moving on, I don't liks his head in the upper right frame, because it doesn't look like Akihiko at all, and I don't much approve of the shadows I worked in since they're all a bit confused and just sort of thrown in there. They don't really tell much other than there is light falling on him. You may notice he's not the most attractive of manga characters though - this is intentional, because I felt I didn't want to make a pretty boy.
