Industrial Fields - charcoal

Please don't just fave, give me constructive criticism and tell me why you like it.

I put this in my stash last thursday but forgot to actually submit it, so sorry about that. My teacher has been urging me to move outside of my comfort zone, and this is more or less a sequel to the wash I did. I did an original in size A4 some months ago with just the linework, and this we had printed out in A3 for me to try different techniques on. While the wash is more lively and dramatic I like this because it somehow seems warmer, and it's closer to what I was originally trying to achieve. I wasn't actually going for warmth though but it looks wuite good I think and it's good to learn the strengths of a new material. I quite like coal - it's good to get a quick something out before I loose interest even if my favorite medium still is ordinary pen and paper due to the level of detail I can achieve with it.
